Cache Credentials
We have received access to the three VistA VMs, and can login at the OS level; but what are the passwords for the Cache users? They are needed especially on the Windows VM, and for the System Management Portals.

admin/password
Funny part is I tried it before even looking for the document that has the credentials listed and it worked.

Thanks, it's working for the Windows VM, but not the Linux's.

I want to reiterate to the Contest Administrator that we don't have the linux login credentials for cache. It seems they were built without the default login/passwords for both a fresh cache installation (with _SYS/SYS or other variations) and the build that is used in VISN0 (admin/password, _SYS/password).
Thanks very much!

The Cache credentials for the System Management Portal are
User Name: admin
Password: password
These are only required in the Windows VMs.
They should not be needed in the Linux VMs.

While it's true that those credentials allow you access to the system management portal, I use the credentials to talk to the server through built-in protocols. Without the Linux login credentials, those protocols are rendered useless in those systems and therefore the only option is to communicate with the cache terminal directly. Although you do so in your test cases, I find that it is very insecure to be using the terminal login in the majority read operations that will take place, as it has full access to the system files and could be a very weak security point in remote SaaS operations. Since the admin user account can create accounts with limited server access to these protocols, I want to have access to an admin account.

The root account and password that were provided in the welcome packet have the requested permissions information.

I'm not referring to the root account of the linux servers, I'm referring to the admin account on the cache server. All cache installations install with an admin user/password combo (typically _SYS/SYS. Since you changed the accounts that installed with it, I would like to know what you changed it to.

For clarification, you need this admin/password combo in order to query the Cache server using ODBC. Without it, the contest disables ODBC as a possible solution for the non-windows machines.
